General Terms and Conditions
Virtual & Physical Events  
1. Definitions
‘Participants’ refer to nominees, finalists, winners, sponsors, the general public, judges, speakers, suppliers, beneficiaries and any other person who is associated with Corporate Citizens of Africa (CCA) in whatsoever capacity. 
  • ‘Events’ refer to the activities planned and organized by Corporate Citizens of AFRICA (CCA).
  • 'Organizers’ refer to Woodside Africa Group LLC, the organization. 
2. Payments
For paid events, all bookings made must be paid in full upon signing of the contract to guarantee participation.    Once payment has been received by check or RTGS, an email confirmation and a receipted invoice will be sent.    If payment is by mobile money, the e-receipt will be assumed to be sufficient as a receipt, unless a physical receipt is requested. If payment is not made at the time of booking, registration will be provisional.   Cash payments are not accepted.   
 
3. Event Attendance Substitutions & Cancellations
Participants may nominate an alternative person from their organization to attend up to 24 hours prior to the start of any of the events, at no extra charge.    There will be no refunds in case of ticket cancellations.    All substitutions and cancellations must be received in writing to cca@woodside.africa; or by whatsapp on +254713122310  
 
4. Access Requirements
Participants should advise of any special access requirements at the time of signing of the contract; or upon submission of the registration form. 
 
5. Registration Information
For on-site attendance, invitation cards will be sent to participants by email and/or Whatsapp at least seven days prior to the event.    For virtual attendance, the relevant event link will be sent to participants at least 7 days before the event.    Any participant not receiving the invitation cards or links should contact us by email at cca@woodside.africa; or whatsapp at +254 713 122 310.  
 
6. Alterations to Calendar of Events
Cancellation/Postponement of Event
a. The organizers reserve the right to make alterations to the Corporate Citizens of Africa (CCA) Calendar of Events, venues and timings.  
b. In the event of any of the events being cancelled by the organizers, a full refund will be made. Liability will be limited to the amount of the fee paid by the participants.  
c. In the event of it being found necessary, for whatever reason, that any of the events are being postponed or the dates being changed, the organizers shall not be liable for any expenditure, damage or loss incurred by the participants.  
d. If by re-arrangement or postponement any of the events can take place, the booking between the participants and the organizers shall remain in force; and will only be subject to the conditions in Clause 3.  
e. In the event of it being found necessary, for whatever reason, that any of the events are being postponed or the dates being changed, there will be no refunds whatsoever.   
 
7. Speakers
Views expressed by speakers are their own. The organizers cannot accept liability for advice given, or views expressed, by any speaker at any of the events or in any material provided to participants.  
 
8. Photography & Filming
For promotional purposes, there may be professional photographers and video production taking place during the events. Participants who do not wish to be filmed or recorded should advise the organizers at least 24 hours before the event  by email to cca@woodside.africa. Otherwise personal and product images from the event will be used in perpetuity for social media, websites and main media purposes.
 
9. Data Protection
By submitting registration details, participants agree to allow the organizers and companies associated with Corporate Citizens of Africa (CCA) to contact them regarding their products and services.   Participants who do not wish to receive such communications can immediately unsubscribe upon receipt of such communications.   
 
10. Websites & Links
The Corporate Citizens of Africa (CCA) online platforms may link to other associated online platforms and networking tools provided for the convenience of the users. The contents of these associated online platforms are maintained by their owners, for which the organizers take no responsibility. Neither can responsibility be taken for contents of any online platforms linking to CCA's online platforms.  
 
11. Insurance
It is the responsibility of the participants to arrange appropriate insurance cover in connection with their participation in the events. The organizers cannot be held liable for any loss, liability or damage to personal property.  
 
12. Other Terms & Conditions
  • The organizers may use the participants’ name, image and presentation materials for promoting public attendance at the events at no cost whatsoever to CCA and its affiliates.
  • Performance materials including all associated artwork, presentations, illustrations, etc will not be returned unless specifically requested for by the participants. Performance materials must be objective and completely free of advertising and commercialism.
  • The organizers may audio and/or video-tape the participants' session and the recordings may be reproduced, sold and used for promotional purposes of CCA activations at no cost whatsoever to CCA and its affiliates.
  • The organizers may reproduce copies of the participants’ event performance on paper and/or electronically and these may be sold as part of the overall hand-out materials during any of the events and/or post the events.
  • Any acknowledgement regarding Copyright or support should be included, for attendees' information. 
13. Sponsored Competitions Terms & Conditions
In selecting the finalists and winners, the Analysts' decision is final. A representative of Woodside Africa Group LLC, who may also sit as an analyst, has veto-ing powers. Winners are only entitled to receive the stipulated cash prizes if supporting partners remit the relevant monies in full to the bank account of Woodside Africa Group LLC.   Should the sponsor for the cash prizes fail to remit the monies as pledged or agreed, CCA, Corcit Africa, Woodside Africa Group LLC and all their subsidiaries, partners and affiliates will bear no liability whatsoever to the identified winners of the awards.
